A Bit About Us

Russ Ford started his entrepreneurial journey in the insulation business October of 1986 and never looked back. At the time, he was thrilled to be only 21 years old and self-employed!

He launched Ford Fireplaces in 2007 as another way to keep clients comfortable. As fireplaces, firepits, fire features and outdoor kitchens evolved, he fell in love with providing the appliances and accessories that could truly define the heart of the home.

When you buy from a box store, you get a box fireplace and hope it fits.

When you hire Russ, he will come to your home himself, meet you and hear your heart as to what you desire and value from your fireplace or grill – asking questions about room size, finish, usage, etc. He often brings to light ideas and scenarios that you may have not considered but are key to you loving your new fire feature.

Russ isn’t a high pressure sales guy but after 30 years in the industry, he has built a reputation of helping customers make the best choice for their new home or outdoor kitchen and working personally with you until you are satisfied.

Priding himself on being a hands on owner, Russ often handles the service calls, gas log sets and more himself. Russ’ wife Carrie is an integral part of the team as well helping him run the business side of Ford Fireplaces and being his life partner for 30 years.

Russ’ likeable personality, knowledgeable skill set and work ethic is part of the reason his employees have been with him for almost a decade.
